US Nuclear Weapons Lab Loses 67 Computers (IT)

The Los Alamos nuclear laboratory over at New Mexico is the new hot-bed for technology thieves as officials confirm reports that there have been extensive thefts over the past few years. The laboratory in question has apparently lost 67 computers over the past few years with 13 being stolen in the last year itself. The matter was brought before the general public when a highly confidential document by the Project on Government Oversight was leaked from one of the stolen nuclear laptops. A few of the 13 stolen computers have been stolen from a scientist’s home. Apart from this, a Blackberry containing confidential information was also reported missing in a sensitive foreign country.
