Spammerific!Posted by web-hosting-blog on 26 Nov For almost 2 decades now we have and are NOT fond of spam, the unsolicited, NOT the food, though some may argue the latter is worse. Most recently, we have seen the like of McColo go down in a blaze of glory as the upstream providers moved in and shut the operation down where the hosting provider was an accessory to spammers. Most of the time, you shut one down, another springs up and the volume of spam has been growing. Since the shutdown, a fortnight has shown light at the end of the tunnel, where global spam has seemed to have dropped by 75% and has remained so. Taking out the culprit at its sources provides a sense of satisfaction that finally something effective was done to combat spam!
